Best of August 2018

School is finally back in full swing and while I am missing all of the freedom of summer I have to admit, it feels nice to get back into a routine. I’m a little late this month in posting this but here are the most shared, pinned, made, and tweeted recipes in August of 2018. I was really happy to see the ricotta and zucchini cakes at number two, they are absolutely perfect served with a side of smoked salmon for a fancy brunch or light dinner. The kids have been loving the lemon zucchini muffins that made it up to number five this month. Usually, the low carb big hitters steal the show each month but the two recipes that beat out old low carb favorites have something in common, zucchini!  I have to assume one of two things. Either you all love zucchini as much as I do or you grew/were gifted too many zucchinis this summer and were searching for delicious ways to use it up. Either way, I love that one of my favorite veggies was showcased.

In the coming month, you can look forward to a new cook once eat twice (or three times) focused on a beef brisket, a spicy Jamaican beef skillet that is packed with flavor and a perfect low carb dinner, and all things apple. We will be going picking next month so we will be sharing our apple creations with everyone. Thank you to everyone who continues to support this blog, I appreciate it more than you know and I can’t wait to get more recipes up so you can try them out.

  1. I don’t cook low carb but am always interested in the process. The lavash crackers look super tasty and crunchy, and I would love one of those muffins right now. I like the round up for the month idea.
